Glass mirror walls and smart fitness mirrors have almost nothing in common except the name and the wall they hang on. One is a glazing job with real safety requirements; the other is a connected appliance with a display, a camera and a warranty. We handle both.

Glass mirror walls

A mirror wall is the cheapest thing in a fitness room that makes the biggest difference to how the space reads, and the most obvious thing in the room when it goes wrong.

  • New installation. Supply and install mirror walls for new rooms, refurbishments and expansions, sized and laid out for the space.
  • Replacement. Cracked, chipped or broken panels replaced. A cracked mirror in a room full of moving weights is a safety issue, not a cosmetic one.
  • De-silvering. Black or cloudy edges creeping in from the perimeter are moisture getting behind the backing, and it does not stop on its own. Individual panels can be replaced without redoing the whole wall.
  • Re-fixing. Panels that have loosened at their clips or adhesive, which is both a safety problem and how panels end up cracked.

Smart fitness mirrors

Connected mirror units — Echelon and similar — are increasingly common in apartment amenity rooms, hotel gyms and home installations, because they put a whole studio class into the footprint of a mirror. They are also an appliance, and appliances fail.

  • Installation and mounting. These units are heavy and wall-mounted, so the fixing has to suit the wall construction rather than whatever came in the box.
  • Warranty service. We are a warranty provider for smart mirrors including Echelon, so in-warranty work is billed to the manufacturer rather than to you — see warranty service.
  • Repair out of warranty. Display, power, connectivity and mounting faults on units past their cover.
  • Replacement and relocation. Swapping a failed unit, or moving one when a room is reconfigured — see equipment relocation.

Which one do you actually need?

  • You want the room to look bigger and brighter. Glass. Nothing else comes close for the money, and it is what a member notices first walking in.
  • You want programming without floor space. Smart mirror. It replaces an instructor and a class timetable rather than replacing a wall.
  • Your existing mirror is going black at the edges. That is de-silvering, it is moisture, and it spreads. Individual panels can be swapped.
  • Your smart mirror will not connect or power on. Tell us the make and rough age — if it is still covered, the work is billed to the manufacturer.

Getting mirrors quoted

For glass, the measurements and the wall construction determine most of the cost, so tell us the wall size and what it is built from. For smart units, the make, model and rough age tell us whether it is a warranty job.

Mirror FAQs

Do you install gym mirror walls as well as repair them?

Yes — supply and installation for new rooms and refurbishments, replacement of cracked or broken panels, and re-fixing panels that have loosened. Individual panels can usually be replaced without redoing an entire wall.

Our mirrors are going black around the edges. Can that be fixed?

That is de-silvering: moisture has got behind the reflective backing, and it spreads rather than stabilising. The affected panels are replaced — the backing itself cannot be repaired in place. Catching it early usually means swapping one or two panels instead of a whole wall.

Do you service smart fitness mirrors like Echelon?

Yes, and we are a warranty provider for them. In-warranty work is billed to the manufacturer rather than to you. Out of warranty we handle display, power, connectivity and mounting faults, plus installation, replacement and relocation.

Is a cracked mirror urgent?

Treat it as urgent in a fitness room. Glass that is already cracked is glass that is being loaded by vibration and dropped weights in a room where people are moving quickly, often barefoot in a stretching area. It is a safety issue well before it is a cosmetic one.

Can you mount a smart mirror on any wall?

Nearly always, but the fixing has to suit the wall construction. These units are heavy and wall-mounted, and stud, block and drywall all need different treatment — which is exactly the detail that gets skipped when one is installed by whoever is available on the day.

Do you cover mirrors outside the major metros?

Yes, anywhere in Texas. There is no travel charge inside the Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio metros; outside those a travel charge applies and is stated in the quote.
