Technician in work gloves servicing a treadmill beside an exercise bike

Gym Equipment Repair Case Studies

These are real repairs from On Site Fitness Service technicians’ own service notes, 7 jobs in 7 Texas cities: what was wrong, how it was diagnosed, what the manufacturer’s warranty covered, and how many visits it took. One needed only an adjustment, most needed parts, two took five visits to reach the root cause, and one ended with the honest advice to replace the machine. Customers are not named.

Repairs we have written up

About these case studies

Are these real repairs?

Yes. Each one is written from the notes our technician filed on that job and illustrated with the technician’s own photos. The city, the type of facility and the machine are accurate.

Why don’t you name the customers?

Our customers’ equipment problems are their business. We name the city and the kind of facility, which is what tells you whether the job is like yours, and leave the property out.

Why do some of these take more than one visit?

Because nobody in this industry stocks every part for every model, and some faults can only be ruled out one part at a time. We would rather show you how a real repair goes than promise a first-visit fix we cannot guarantee.
