What goes wrong, from our repair notes
Loud drive belts and failing rollers
The most common FreeMotion repair in our notes. A drive belt worn enough to make a loud noise, and front rollers and tensioner-arm pulleys that squeak or bang as their bearings fail. On incline trainers we replace the drive and front rollers together with the drive belt.
CoachBike controls in manual mode
A B22.7 CoachBike whose incline and resistance worked in the automatic programs but did nothing in manual mode, with no sound from the buttons, needed its left and right controllers replaced.
Resistance buttons and pedals
Resistance buttons on E22.9 ellipticals that stopped working and were replaced, and worn left and right pedal assemblies.
Cables on cable cross and lift machines
Cables damaged in several places on dual cable cross and lift machines, and replacement cables with the end fittings the carabiners clip to.
Warranty work
We are an authorized service center for FreeMotion Fitness, so warranty labor on a covered FreeMotion machine is billed to FreeMotion rather than to you. Why is my FreeMotion incline trainer so loud?
On the FreeMotion incline trainers and treadmills we service, a loud noise is most often a worn drive belt, or a front roller or tensioner pulley whose bearings are failing. Both are replaced rather than adjusted once they are noisy.
Do you repair FreeMotion strength equipment?
Yes, including dual cable cross and lift machines, where the usual repair is a damaged cable with the correct end fittings.
Why does my FreeMotion CoachBike only work in the programs?
On the B22.7 CoachBike we diagnosed, incline and resistance worked in the automatic programs but not in manual mode, and the buttons made no sound; the fix was new left and right controllers.
