Corporate Wellness Center Service

On Site Fitness Service maintains corporate wellness centres and workplace gyms across Texas, with 213 recent orders in this category. Workplace facilities are usually unstaffed, so faults go unreported and maintenance has to be scheduled rather than requested.

What this work usually looks like

A workplace gym is typically an employee benefit with no one assigned to look after it. Usage peaks hard at lunchtime and after hours, nobody is on the floor to notice a developing fault, and problems surface as complaints to facilities rather than as maintenance requests.

That makes scheduled visits the practical model. We inspect the whole room on a set interval and report what we found, so the facility does not depend on someone happening to report a noise.

Equipment and brands we service

Corporate rooms are usually cardio-led — treadmills, ellipticals and bikes — with a compact strength setup. Equipment tends to be newer and better specified than in other settings, and often still within manufacturer warranty, which we can bill directly to the manufacturer.

On Site Fitness Service has worked across Texas since 2007 and has completed more than 30,000 service calls in over 300 Texas cities. Our technicians are factory trained, so warranty labor is handled alongside ordinary repairs. Brands include Life Fitness, Matrix, Johnson Health Tech, Core Health & Fitness, StairMaster, Star Trac, Nautilus, Cybex, Technogym, Woodway, Octane, True Fitness, Hoist Fitness, FreeMotion, Inflight Fitness, Vision Fitness, Spirit Fitness, Concept2, Body Solid, Batca, SportsArt, SciFit, Icon, Echelon and Precor, among many others — this is a sample of the lines we see most, not the limit of what we service, so ask about anything not named here.

Preventive maintenance for corporate wellness centers

Because nobody staffs the room, preventive maintenance is not really optional here — it is the only inspection the equipment gets. A plan priced on your machine count with a set interval gives facilities a predictable line item and a written record.

  • SilverInspect decks, belts, elevation systems, cables, pulleys, pins and frames for wear; adjust belts; lubricate visible pivot points and guide rods; keypad function tests; calibrate and test every unit for safe operation. No cleaning or waxing at this level.
  • GoldEverything in Silver, plus internal cleaning and vacuuming, treadmill deck waxing and upholstery cleaning — and fuller lubrication covering elevation systems, chains, gears, bushings and seat slides.
  • PlatinumA per-machine checklist by equipment type, adding exterior cleaning — hoods, frames, covers, chrome and flywheels — plus electrical and diagnostic checks: motor brushes, amp draw, error codes and usage hours.

Why maintenance matters

Commercial fitness equipment is built to a published standard. ASTM F2276, the standard specification for fitness equipment, sets design and construction requirements for commercial machines and requires manufacturers to supply maintenance instructions alongside assembly and operating documentation. Those instructions are the baseline a maintenance plan is built on, and they are also what a manufacturer will point to if a warranty claim is questioned.

Equipment failures are not only a cost problem. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission tracks emergency-department visits involving consumer products, including exercise equipment, through its National Electronic Injury Surveillance System, which is the federal source facilities and insurers reference on this subject. A frayed cable, a slipping belt or a worn deck is a safety issue before it is a repair bill.

An unstaffed employee fitness room is still a facility the employer is responsible for. ACSM’s Health/Fitness Facility Standards and Guidelines covers facility equipment and operating procedures and includes sample preventive maintenance schedules among its appendices, and ASTM F1749 specifies the safety signage and labels expected on equipment and in the room. Where there is no attendant to pull a faulty machine out of service, the scheduled inspection and its written record are doing that job instead — which is the part risk management usually asks about.

That is the practical case for a scheduled plan over reactive repair: it follows the manufacturer’s own maintenance schedule, it produces a written record of what was inspected and when, and it catches wear while it is still an adjustment rather than a replacement.

Corporate Wellness Centers FAQs

Our gym is unstaffed. How do we know what needs fixing?

That is what a scheduled plan solves. We inspect every machine on a set interval and report what we found, so you are not relying on an employee reporting a noise.

Can you work outside business hours?

We schedule around your building where we can. Tell us your access window when you book.

Is our equipment still under warranty?

Often, in corporate rooms. Our technicians are factory trained, so where equipment is still in coverage we carry out the warranty repair and bill the manufacturer rather than you.

How often does an unstaffed corporate gym need servicing?

Less often than a club floor, but the case for a schedule is stronger, not weaker, because nobody is watching the equipment day to day. A fault in an unstaffed room is usually discovered by the next employee who tries to use the machine. Plans are priced on the number of cardio and strength pieces in the room.

Can you handle the whole room in one visit so we only book once?

Yes, and for an unstaffed room that is normally the sensible approach. A single visit covering every machine costs less in call-outs than bringing someone back for each fault as it is reported, and it produces one machine-by-machine report for your records.
