Medical, Rehab and Therapy Facilities FAQs
Can equipment resistance be checked against the display?
Yes, and in a clinical setting it is one of the more important checks we run. Magnetic resistance drifts rather than fails, so a machine can feel fine while no longer matching its console. Where a clinician is recording what a patient did, a machine reporting the wrong number is a real fault.
Do you service recumbent steppers and upper body ergometers?
Yes — they are the equipment we see most in therapy and rehabilitation settings. The inspection covers the seat carriage and locking mechanism, the swivel, linkage bearings, resistance calibration, the console and the grab handles, which is a different list from the one a treadmill gets.
Do you provide a written record of each visit?
Yes. A machine-by-machine report is provided at every maintenance tier, not only the top one. It gives a dated record of what was inspected and what was done, which is what a practice needs in its files and what answers the question asked after an incident.
Can torn upholstery be recovered rather than replaced?
Yes, and in a clinical environment it is worth doing sooner than a gym would. We collect the pads, recover them and reinstall them. A split cover exposes foam that cannot be wiped down or disinfected, at the point of direct skin contact, which is an infection-control problem before it is a cosmetic one.
Can you work around patient appointments?
Yes. Clinics rarely have a window where the room is empty for long, so we schedule around appointment times and most visits cover one or two machines rather than the whole room. Tell us the quiet part of your day and we will work to it.
